Highlights
- MS Teams Integration
- Improvements to Pharos Issues
- Metadata change tracking via GitHub
New Release Notes
This release is very exciting for us for many reasons. Aside from the usual bug fixes and continued improvements to our UI and architecture, we have the following updates:
- We have delivered the much anticipated MS Teams integration! This opens up a whole world of possibilities for our customers using Microsoft Teams as a daily communication and collaboration tool. With this release it is now possible to receive error and monitoring notifications via MS Teams. Simply set up a connection under Integrations, MS Teams and you're good to go. This integration works just like our Slack integration and Email Notifications, allowing you to build message templates with merge fields.
- Substantial improvements to our Issue Tracker including:
-
- average frequency calculation per issue
- new and improved Issue dashboards now showing user and data impact
- related issues dashboard toggle
- added total impacted users and records counts to Issue object
These new stats can now be used in your priority and severity calculation flows. You can Increase priority for frequent issues, or those with a high user impact, or decrease priority when only a few records are affected and vice versa. Pharos arms you with accurate numbers so that you can decide what's important to tackle for your dev team.
- Last but not least, we’ve added metadata change tracking via GitHub. This powerful new functionality allows regular tracking of metadata changes in a GitHub repository of your choice. This means you now have a powerful troubleshooting tool that lets you view detailed metadata differences within any time period.
If you are curious when something was changed or unsure of what the changes were, it’s now possible to establish the precise nature of the change along with its its date and time.
Our GitHub integration authenticates via Oauth and pushes metadata updates directly into any repository of your choice in hourly intervals. Of course, we don't always push the entire metadata snapshot, just the actual changes. No changes means no repository commits and no wasted org resources.
You can utilize the powerful GitHub interface to view changes for a specific bit of metadata, or view the entire timeline of changes made over the last day, week, month or a year. All of this is now at your fingertips with a simple flick of an admin setting.
Get to know your Greek Gods & Goddesses
Artemis is known as the goddess of the hunt and is one of the most respected of all the ancient Greek deities. She is heavily identified with nature, wildlife, and the Moon. In literature and art she is depicted as a huntress carrying a bow and arrow. Artemis spent most of her time roaming the forests with her nymphs. She was described as both hunting animals and protecting them. Artemis was fierce and lashed out whenever her wishes were disobeyed, especially if anyone transgressed against the animals that were sacred to her (like the bear).
Fun fact: Artemis may have been Shakespeare’s favorite, based on the frequency with which he references her.
