Installing the Pharos Managed Package
To install Pharos, navigate to this AppExchange listing and click the Get it Now button. You will be prompted to login if you are not already.
Once you get to the package install screen, follow the steps below:
Package Install Failed?
On a rare occasion things may not go as planned. You may get an email from Salesforce notifying you of an install failure. Alternatively, if you stay on the package installation page, you may see an error there as well. Please refer to this article for more details.
Configuring the Pharos Managed Package
Before being fully operational Pharos requires that we perform a few configuration steps. Don't worry, this process shouldn't take more than a couple of minutes. Simply follow the steps below:
If you've completed all the steps above without any issues, feel free to skip the rest of this section and proceed to the next phase.
If you're installing into a sandbox environment and see a yellow banner at the Quick Test step of the Quick Start wizard, check out the steps below to remedy.
Note: this test is optional so if you're not comfortable with updating deliverability settings, or the option to update is not available you can skip this step. By installing the Error Generator you can also test out your Pharos configuration.
Configuring Path Settings
Path is a Salesforce feature that displays a status bar on lightning pages. This status bar is utilized by Pharos on the Issue details page and is very helpful for quickly knowing the current status of an Issue. If you're unsure about the Path settings in your org, please check the video below:
