By default Pharos can send messages to public channels and to users directly. To use private channels with the Slack integration, you must go into each private channel in Slack and add the Pharos app.
Here's a quick step by step video on how to add the Pharos app from a private channel.
Once this is completed, you should be able to locate your private channel in the Channel(s) dropdown when setting up a Slack notification or monitoring rule.
Note: You must repeat this process for each private channel that you would like to use with the Slack Integration.
Still Can't Find Your Channel?
This can happen if your organization has LOTS of users and/or channels. Slack API doesn't allow an efficient search for channels and requires us to pull in an entire set of channels. This can sometimes go awry as you might imagine. To avoid this search conundrum you can simply punch in the channel ID directly into the channel field. Below you'll find instructions on how to locate this value in Slack.
