Upgrade Process

Our upgrades are separated in 2 phases: sandboxes first, followed by production instances, typically a week later. The full release notes are sent prior to the first phase. We will send another reminder a few days prior to your production instance upgrade. Upgrades are typically deployed at 8pm Pacific Time on Fridays around the beginning of each month.

Opting Out

If you do not wish to upgrade your instance at any time please let us know by sending an email to support@pharos.ai and providing your Salesforce Organization ID.

Note: If you decide to opt-out of an upgrade, the next maintenance release will still proceed according to the release schedule and you will receive all previous upgrades along with the planned one.

Release Notes

Pharos maintenance releases typically address known or reported bugs. However, we will sometimes include small functionality enhancements as well. You will receive release notes for each maintenance release detailing bugfixes and enhancements, along with impacted areas. If you have questions about any of the items outlined in the release notes feel free to reach out to support@pharos.ai or by creating an Inquiry case from our support portal.

Release Numbering

Our releases are always numbered sequentially, e.g. 1.745. The first number followed by a decimal indicates a major release number. For maintenance releases the numbering retains the major release version and attains a suffix of a patch number, e.g. 1.850.45, where 45 is the patch number and 1.850 is the major release number.

Note: Stable releases that are distributed to customers may not always follow perfect sequential order. For example, let's say your current instance is on Pharos 1.850.49. The next maintenance release communication may state that Pharos 1.850.56 is ready to be pushed. This does NOT mean you've missed 7 versions of the product. We simply don't publish every release that we put out. These "intermediate" releases are internal only and are used for testing, or ad hoc critical fixes for affected customers only.
